Louvre Museum repairs Yemeni antique statue

SANA'A, Dec.16 (26sep.net)- The Near East official at Louvre Museum in
France, François Demogene, arrived in Sana'a on a business visit. Sana'a National Museum's Manager, Abdul-Aziz al-Jindari, said that the visit came in the framework of bilateral relations between the National Museum and French Louvre Museum. The two museums signed a mutual collaboration agreement to repair one of the most important antique owned by the National Museum, which is a bronze statue dates back to the period 6th-4th centuries BC and belongs to Qatabani civilization. He pointed out that the statue, to be taken off to Paris next Monday,would be exhibited in Louvre Museum for a limited period after being -repaired.
