Minister of oil and Minerals Amir Salem al-Aidaroos said on Wednesday : "The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul al-Aziz Al Saud presented 3 million barrels of crude oil to our country."
The first shipment of this amount is expected to arrive soon and will be transported via Yemeni tanker, al-Aidaroos said.He added that the tanker will head from Yemeni port of Aden to the Saudi port of Yanbu, pointing out that this amount will be refined in oil refineries in Aden.Al-Aidaroos expressed his hope that process of refining such amount would be continued before rehabilitating oil pipe in Marib. "The process of direct purchase of oil derivatives was halted because of the rejection by companies that sell petroleum products on forward sales due to the inability of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank to pay the value of the required quantities of these materials," al-Aidaroos revealed.
