National Program to combat malaria concludes training in diagnosis of Malaria

A training course on the quality of laboratory diagnosis of malaria organized by the National Program to combat malaria, Hadhramaut zone was concluded today in Mukalla. It was held at the Malaria Control Programme headquarters, hadhramaut and Al-Mahra Axis and was attended by sixteen participants from various Goverment health institutions and private laboratories. The Diirector of Malaria Control Programme zone Dr. Abdullah Al-Salem Bin Gaouth in his speech stressed on the need to involve everyone in implementing health and therapeutic program, that were updated to combat the disease. He also stressed for the need to integrate the government's efforts with civil society organizations to reach Yemen that is free of malaria. Dr. Bin Ghouth added that this Training is counted as one of the best quality if the course, because the trainees are going to be able to identify by assesing, detecting and recognizing malaria parasites and differentiate
with civil society organizations to reach Yemen free of malaria. He added that this session is where the quality of the courses that the trainees be identified by the assessment, detection, recognition of malaria parasite as well as the accuracy of laboratory diagnosis of malaria and to identify its four levels of intensity. Participants in this course that will take four days, are going to receive of knowledge and information that will raise the capacity and the level of technicians in medical laboratories. It will give ideas on how to deal in the field of diagnosis of malaria in laboratory and familiarize the participants with theoretical knowledge and training to improve the treatment of malaria cases through access to early proper diagnosis. Also promote effective treatment for all cases and contribute in the fight against malaria and make Yemen in the coming years a country without malaria. The opening session was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-suleihi Head session supervisor and a number of specialists in the field laboratory..
