European countries vow to support Yemen's development plan

Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi returned home on Thursday after a several-day tour in Europe, during which he met with his counterparts in Britain, Belgium, France and Italy.
Al-Qirbi pointed out that the Foreign Ministers of the four European countries have pledged to support Yemen's fourth development plan for 2011-2015.
Speaking to Saba, al-Qirbi said that he discussed in separate meetings with his European counterparts the bilateral relations between Yemen and their countries and briefed them on the situation in Yemen and efforts made by President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Yemeni government for the continuation of the dialog.He noted that he agreed with the European officials on the date of the coming meeting of the Friends of Yemen to be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, next March as well as the meeting's agenda, which focused on issues of the developmental support, economic growth, reforms, and security and stability in Yemen.
