President gives directive for revving action of corrupt files

President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Wednesday has given his directives to the Supreme National Anti-Corruption commission (SNACC) to revive action of frozen files of the corrupt , whether they were former minister or present ones or presidents of government establishments and authorities or any officials or persons involves in cases of financial and administrative corruption whoever they were or in any position, at the forefront of whom those who allege integrity to deceive the public opinion while their files are full of corruption , in the way of referring them to judiciary to call them to account for their corrupt practices. During his meeting on Wednesday with the SNACC chairman and members, attended by chairman of the Higher Judiciary Council and the minister of justice, President Saleh urged them to double their efforts in following up the cases of corruption and tampering with the public property and to send the responsible for that to the judiciary to take the legal procedures against them and in the way that preserves the public property and limit corruption.The President emphasised the importance of enhancing the coordination between the SNACC and the Central Organisation for Control and Auditing (COCA) and the judiciary power in following up the issues of corruption and sped of deciding them by the judges in the way to guarantee accountability of the corrupt whoever they were to be an example to others.The President said,” No one is above the law whoever he was,” , stressing the significance of the media outlets’ backing up efforts of the SNACC and publishing the issues of corruption and exposing the corrupt in the light of the verdicts passed against them.
