Yemen, Oman sign MoUs for cooperation

Yemen and Oman signed on Thursday minutes of the 11th session of the Yemeni-Omani Joint Ministerial Committee, which was held over two days in Oman's capital Muscat.
The meetings were co-chaired by Minister of Transport Khalid al-Wazir and Transport and Communications Minister of Oman Khamis bin Mubarak al-Alawi.The minutes signed by the two ministers included the agreement on boosting joint cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, investment, agricultural, telecommunications, fisheries , health and population areas, in addition to maritime affairs through coordinating efforts to combat piracy and armed robbery against ships, and activation of cooperation between businessmen via the Yemeni-Omani Businessmen Joint Council.The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the educational area, which includes creation of bilateral relations between educational institutions in both countries. They also signed another memorandum of understating in the area of legal affairs for exchange of experiences between Ministries of Legal Affairs in the two countries. At the conclusion of the meetings, the two sides confirmed mutual keenness to develop and expand aspects of cooperation between the two countries in all areas through putting the contents of agreements and protocols signed between the two countries into practice.
