Hadhramout Undersecretary for Wadi and Sahraa Affairs Omaier Mbarak Omaeir, today conducted a field visit to see for himself the fifth phase of the archaeological discoveries at Aadieh Site of Al-ghoraf in Tarim District. he archaeological discoveries in this area is carried out by carried
out by team of Yemeni specialist,from the Wadi and Sahraa branch of
the General Authority for archeology and Antiques. He was biefed by Mr. Abdul Rahman Hassan bin Obeid-Allah and a number of cadres from the branch of the General Authority for Antiquities, on the findings reached by archaeologist team on this site. The findings attest that this site dates back to the first century AD, explaining ways exploration done. It was carried in in accordance with the methodology of the archaeological means.and steps taken later to save all the discoveries were recorded according to the applicable regulations in this area. This seasonal excavations at this site began since 1981, showed that this site was a complex of mud- buildings that were surrounded by a big fence. The archeologist discovered a diverse number of ancient materials, bronze and pottery, and other currencies, in addition to very rare type of architectural. These finding tells the concerned that historical facts,. He indicated that the work being done now is fencing the site in order to protect and maintainthe components of the archaeological sites.
