The Cabinet approved on Tuesday the
implementation of the third phase of the strategy of wages and salaries,
according to the directives of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The Cabinet directed Ministries of
Civil Service and Finance to prepare the executive mechanism to start the
implementation of this decision as of next February.In its meeting, chaired by Prime
Minister Ali Mujawar, the Cabinet ratified the report on the results of the
visit of Turkish President Abdullah Gul to Yemen during January 10-11.The report, submitted by Minister of
Planning and International Cooperation, included the cooperation documents
signed at the conclusion of the visit and their draft resolutions, which
covered areas of abolition of visas between the two countries, the return of
persons residing illegally, technical education and vocational training, news
agencies, e-government, foreign affairs, defense industry, radio and
television, as well as a memorandum of intent for the development of industrial
zones, and the joint statement on cooperation between the two countries.The Cabinet praised the good results
of this visit, which is the first of its kind for Turkish president, noting the
positive impact of the visit on strengthening the Yemeni-Turkish relations and
opening wide horizons for joint work to serve the common interests of both
countries' peoples.In this regard, the Cabinet
instructed the concerned ministers to take executive procedures of the singed
documents, and to submit to the Cabinet through the Ministry of Planning on the
level of implementation.
