LNG liquefaction plant in Shabwa ready after efficiency test

Yemen LNG Company has completed the 72-hour efficiency test of the LNG liquefaction plant in Balhaf, Shabwa, saying the plant will start producing LNG at a higher capacity than this set in designs soon. In a statement the company also said it had started earlier this month testing the LNG production facilities operated by the Safer Company Block 18, Marib, and the test will last 180 days.
The company will export 104 LNG shipments to global markets this year under agreements previously signed with clients, the statement added.Yemen launched its largest ever economic project of LNG in late 2009 in the southeastern Shabwa province.
