Crude oil sales for March 2011 approved

The Supreme Committee on Crude Oil Marketing approved on Monday crude oil sales for next March , at a total quantity of 3.85 million barrels. During its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, the committee approved the selling of the available quantity of Masila crude oil estimated at 2 million barrels for the best offered price, dated Brent minus USD 0.37 a barrel.The committee also approved to sell the available quantity of Marib crude oil, which is estimated at 1.85 million barrels, to the Aden Refinery Company for date Brent without discounts according to the Cabinet's decision on allocating this crude to meet the domestic market needs of oil derivatives.Moreover, the committee reviewed the report of the technical committee on crude oil sales for December, 2010 and January, 2011.The report pointed out that the shipping program for December sales was fully completed, while the cargo for sales of the current January was programmed in coordination with the operators as requested by buyers.
