Yemen's efforts at Global Fund to fight AIDS discussed

Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rase'a met here on Wednesday with diplomats of some Arab and Islamic countries.
Among the attendees were ambassadors of Syria and Iran and charge d'affaires at the embassies of Jordan, Sudan, Iraq, Djibouti and Morocco, which are Member States of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.The attendees discussed the efforts of Yemen, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Fund for the Eastern Mediterranean Region, and funding and projects that obtained by Member States in the tenth session of the Fund.They also touched upon enhancing cooperation between Yemen and ambassadors of the Member States regarding projects to be presented in the eleventh session of the Fund.The ambassadors and diplomats expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by Yemen, as a member for the Eastern Mediterranean Region in the Fund, through the acceptance of project proposals for financial funding made by their countries to the tenth session of the Global Fund.
