Justice minister meets Dutch foreign ministry representative

Minister of Justice Ghazi al-Aghbari discussed here on Monday with Representative of the Dutch Foreign Ministry for Middle East and North Africa (MENA) cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to develop it, especially in the judicial field. In the meeting, attended by the Netherlands ambassador to Yemen Harry Buikema, the two parties reviewed results of New York meeting concerning with justice and security sectors within Yemen's Friends Group as well as the current preparations of Riyadh meeting which will be held in February, hailing the Dutch efforts insupporting the judicial reforms.The minister reviewed achievements in the last period of judicial reforms within the National Reforms Agenda, especially in the field of infrastructure, legislation and building cadres of judicial authority.For his part, the Dutch official affirmed his country's keenness in supporting reforms implemented by the ministry, praising successes and development achieved by the judicial authority in Yemen.On the other hand, the Justice Minister discussed with the representative of Good Governance Program in GTZ Yemen's vision for judicial reforms for the next period and what have been achieved in the last years.Al-Aghbari noted the support provided by UK, France and European Union for the judicial reforms in Yemen and training cadres of the judicial council, expressing his hope in activation the Yemeni- German cooperation in the judicial field.
