Qatar extends $600,000 to higher education in Yemen

Qatar extended on Wednesday an annual financial grant of $ 600,000 to support scholarships of Yemeni students abroad. The grant allocated for Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry was handed over by the Qatari ambassador to Yemen Abdul Aziz Jassim al-Buainain to Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh Ali Ba Sura.
Ba Sura and al-Buainain talked about mutual cooperation between the two countries in field of higher education and scientific research as well as promoting cultural exchange between the Qatari and Yemeni universities.
The two sides also dealt with the possibilities of accepting the Yemeni expatriates' students in the Qatari universities, and to add that into terms of renewing the cultural and scientific cooperation agreement between Yemen and Qatar to be signed soon.
