Oxfam, UNDP signed MoU on women economic empowerment

Oxfam International and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) - project of gender and economic empowerment, signed in here on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding on enhancing women's economic empowerment in Hadramout.
The memo was signed by the UNDP's Country Director Randa Abu al-Hassan and Oxfam Yemen Country Director El Tayeb Musa.
It stipulated the implementation of a number of activities and procedures aiming to establish partnership between the UNDP project and Oxfam related projects.
According to the memo, Oxfam's two projects "Integrated work project on marriage safe age and women economic empowerment" and "Good governance in implementing and monitoring the Third Five-Year Plan for 2006 – 2010" will work along with the UNDP's project "project of gender and economic empowerment" on promoting the capacity of their projects to achieve the best results.
The two sides also affirmed the facilitation of exchanging information in fields of mobilizing support to make a change and developing skills for poor women.
