The 20th Gulf technical committee held on Saturday a meeting in Yemen's business capital of Aden chaired by Minister for Youth and Sports Hamoud Ubad. All secretaries general of the Football Associations from the countries participating in the championship were in attendance.The meeting focused on arrangements the cup organizing committee has done, with a focus on security measures to hold the championship in a very secure climate.Ubad assured the participants Yemen is very safe and stable and that the event will be a success. He praised all efforts by the secretaries general, saying their meetings including this one have largely helped organize and prepare for the event well.For his part, Secretary General of the Saudi Football Association Faisal al Hadi talked on behalf of himself and other participants saying they were very glad arriving in Yemen to contribute to the championship.We have touched the signs of success of this important sports event, said al Hadi as he said the Yemeni soccer game would be of great importance in the future.
The meeting also discussed arrangements taken by the committees of housing, stadiums, communication, and referees, and the topics of soccer uniforms and eligibility and championship rules.
