Yemen calls to set up Yemeni-Brazilian friendship association

Capital Mayor Abdul-Rahman al-Akwa'a has called to establish a friendship association between Yemen and Brazil to serve the two sides' relations in the cultural, economic and social areas. During his meeting with the Brazilian delegation head, representative of the city of Rio de Ja Nero, al-Akwa'a welcomed all Brazilian companies and investors in Yemen, affirming to offer the overall facilities and care for them.
The two sides talked over aspects of cooperation in various fields, dealing with cooperation in fields of waste recycling as well as benefiting from the Brazilian experience in that field.They also discussed possibilities of setting up a twinning relation between Sana'a and Rio de Ja Nero in order to strengthen their relations.
Their meeting reviewed means of developing sport relations, in addition to activating cooperation between the Yemeni Olympic Committee and its Brazilian counterpart for Brazil is going to host 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic games.
