Yemen's ambassador to UK: Yemen suffered great injustice

Yemen's ambassador to the UK Abdullah al-Radhi has said that Yemen has suffered a great injustice by the media campaign recently following two suspicious parcels sent from Yemen.
He stated that a number of countries have taken unfair measures concerning the cargo and travel operations from and to Yemen as well as actions against Yemen Airways and other unfair actions.In an interview with Middle East Newspaper in his office at the Yemeni embassy in London, al-Radhi said that the parcels bomb had been detected based on intelligence information, and the explosives detection devices could not detect them.With regard to the American preacher of Yemeni origin, Anwar al-Awlaki, al-Radhi said that he is required to Yemeni security services and an arrest warrant on him has been issued, but his trial has begun in absentia in Sana'a.He pointed out that Yemeni tribes help the government to track down al-Qaeda elements.Al-Radhi noted that the security coordination between Yemen and Saudi Arabia is at the highest levelsOn the presence of American planes patrolling the airspace of Yemen in search of al-Qaeda elements, al-Radhi said that there is no truth to this news, stressing that the Yemeni-American cooperation regarding the war on al-Qaeda is a cooperation based on security and intelligence coordination and training of Yemeni counter-terrorism forces.In the interview, the ambassador dealt with a number of measures taken by Yemen following increased operations of al-Qaeda in Yemen.
