President Saleh arrives in Djibouti

President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Thursday in Djibouti on an official visit to Djibouti, during which he would meet with President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh After his arrival, Saleh talked to media, expressing his happiness for this visit to Djibout. President Saleh said that during the visit he would hold talks with President Guelleh on bilateral relations and areas of joint cooperation between the two countries at various political, economic, trade, security and cultural levels and the current developments in the region, particularly the situation in Somalia and the Horn of Africa and the security in the southern Red Sea, in addition to efforts coordination between the two countries to combat terrorism and sea piracy. "We in Yemen are keen to strengthen and develop relations and expand horizons of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, so as to serve interests of Yemeni and Djiboutian peoples and security and stability in the region", Saleh said.He added,"Undoubtedly, what concerns the security in Djibouti concerns Yemen, and vise versa".President Saleh highly appreciated Djibouti's supportive positions to Yemen's unity.He concluded saying" We look forward that this visit will open wider horizons for the development and promotion of trade and economic cooperation and mutual benefits between the two countries".There are many opportunities available in this regard that can be exploited so as to contribute to serving the common interests of the two countries and peoples of Yemen and Djibouti, Saleh added.
