A meeting held in Mukalla reviewed the studies prepared by consulting firm (Engineering House) concerning the new Abdullah Gharib route. The road route that have a length of 7.5 kilometers suffered major damage during the disaster rains and floods that swept hadhramaut province. The disaste, paralyzed traffic between the coast and Wadi Hadhramaut. The meeting was attended by Hadhramout governorate undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Eng / Fahad Saeed Menhali..The meeting included General Authority branch for Environmental Protection, Office of Public Works and Highways coast of Hadhramout, unit operating the project, Ghail Bawzeer District Local Authority, project funding partner the World Bank, and the General department for Hadhramout Governorate project. During the meeting Dr. / John Davy, and engineer / Yusuf Al- Shak'aa from Dar Engineering Consulting Firm presented a detailed explanation on the study prepared by the task, for implementing the road component made up of two ways of meters wide and two edges on both sides 1.5 meters wide, this was introduced as to cope with the increased natural growth rate. The road will include 19 water channel, two bridges, Irish crossing lane, and retaining walls to support and protect the road. They pointed out that this project has been designed to avoid technical specifications including slopes on the way, that causes risks for users as well as examining the level of environmental and social impact..In the meeting a number of proposals were presented including the ones will address the problems, provide possible solutions and added to the final report for the project.
