Prime Minister Ali Mujawar has affirmed that Yemen will not be a safe haven for terrorists as some international mass media try to depict it, expressing denunciation for the media exaggeration regarding the two suspicious packages detected this week. This came during his meeting on Tuesday with the EU ambassadors to Sana'a following the German decision to ban flights coming from Yemen to Germany, noting that this unnecessary decision would negatively affect reputation of Yemen which is considered an active partner with the international community in combating terrorism. He requested the German officials to reconsider such decisions in order to support efforts of Yemen in counterterrorism. In this regard, Mujawar affirmed the high security readiness of the Yemeni airports, noting that the intelligence activity was behind the detection of the two packages and not the technical aspect. The Premier dealt with the non-stop attacks by the Yemeni security and armed forces against the Al-Qaeda elements in a number of remote districts in the country, renewing affirmation that Yemen will never show leniency in its fight against terrorism as it threatens the community, development, economy, security and stability. He welcomed any logistical support either from the EU countries or from all sister and friend countries to enable the exerted efforts of Yemen to confront terrorism.
