US reiterates support to Yemen in security, intelligence aspects

The U.S. ambassador to Yemen Gerald M. Feierstein reiterated on Monday his country's support to Yemen in various fields, especially in aspects of security, intelligence, information sharing against terrorism This came during a meeting gathered Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi and the U.S. ambassador, who dealt with issues related to cooperation between the two countries particularly in the field of combating terrorism in all its forms, topped by of al-Qaeda terrorism.In the meeting, Hadi reviewed the latest issue of the two suspicious explosives-filled packages, noting that the military agencies are able to realize the desired results.He pointed to what has been achieved recently n the provinces of Shabwa and Abyan, where a number of al Qaeda elements have been killed.Hadi affirmed the terrorism has become a threat at the regional and international level, and the eradication of terrorism requires the cooperation of all.
For his part, the U.S. ambassador highly appreciated the great cooperation and clear efforts of Yemen in this area, saying that the U.S. and the international community are key partners in this field.He added that everyone knows that Yemen faces al-Qaeda despite of the sacrifices and losses resulting of that.Feierstein confirmed that no body can blame Yemeni government for the two packages sent to the U.S. because the process was very complex and any device could not predict it due to the complexity of this process.
