President Saleh receives phone call from senior U.S. official

President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Saturday a telephone call from John Brennan, assistant to the U.S. President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.
During the conversation, Brennan conveyed to President Saleh greetings of U.S. President Barack Obama.
Saleh and Brennan discussed aspects of cooperation and partnership between the two friendly countries, particularly the security aspects and the fight against terrorism.Their talks also included the issue of two suspected parcels which were on their way to the United States.President Saleh confirmed Yemen's keenness to continue its efforts in the fight against terrorism and strengthen cooperation with the United States and the international community in order to confront this threat which threatens the security and safety of the world.For his part, the U.S. official praised Yemen’s efforts in the fight against terrorism, hailing Yemenis’ encouragement and sacrifices in order to fight the terrorists and defeat them.Brennan also stressed his country’s support to Yemen at various levels..
