President Saleh arrives in Asmara

President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Thursday in Asmara on a visit to Eritrea, during which he would hold talks with the Eritrean President Isaias Afeworki.
During his visit, Saleh would discuss with the Eritrean President the bilateral relations and developments of the situations in the region, topped by the situation in Somalia and African Horn.
In a statement to press upon his arriving, Saleh expressed his happiness for visiting Eritrea and meeting with President Isaias Afeworki to discuss all issues relating to the bilateral relations and areas of joint cooperation between the two countries.He added that he would exchange points of view with the Eritrean President on the developments of the current situations in the region, especially in Somalia and Horn of Africa, stressing that the security and stability in Somalia is a mater concerning to both Yemen and Eritrea and all countries of the region.
President Saleh reiterated Yemen's keenness to enhance and develop relations and areas of joint cooperation with Eritrea at different levels. He pointed out that there are many opportunities available in this area.He looked forward through his visit to open new horizons of cooperation at various levels, so as to serve the common interests of Yemeni and Eritrean peoples as well as the security and stability in the region.
