PM in Japan for COP 10 meeting in Japan

Prime Minister Ali Mujawar arrived on Tuesday in Ngoya city, Japan, to take part in the 10th high-level ministerial meeting of the Conference of the Parties in Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10).

On behalf of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Prime Minister will deliver a speech of the Group of 77 and China, which is being presided over currently by Yemen. The speech will focused on supportive attitude of Yemen and the group towards the COP 10 and its strategic plan and three objectives. The conference addresses various issues pertaining to the biological diversity in the world and the achievements to realize of the biological diversity goal for 2010, including the national reports and the Bulletin of Global Biodiversity Outlook. The discussions will also dealt with the organized strategic plan, the goal of biological diversity and its indicators and the convention's operations as well as the action plan for 2011 – 2022
