Youth empowerment project to be concluded in Sana’a

Save the Children run Youth empowerment Project (YEP) will be concluded in Sana’a Wednesday with participation of 9 youth units of the Project, partners from youth organizations and more than 20 youth initiatives.
Funded by USAID, the project targeted youth aged between 14- 24 and aimed to empower the vulnerable youth through implementing activities for youth in building their capacities and raising their awareness on different issues related to youth. ‘’Youth from four targeted provinces, including Sana’a, Aden, Abyan and Ibb, have the opportunity to meet and exchange skills and experiences throughout the two-year life of the project’’ Save the Children said on Tuesday in a statement. The overall goal of the project was to promote vulnerable youth in Yemen to make informed, practical and positive life choices that contribute to the stability of communities through increased availability and access for youth to youth leadership skills building opportunities, improved quality and relevance of youth services in the four impact area communities, increased participation of vulnerable youth in leadership and livelihoods opportunities and improved policy environment for youth empowerment.Save the Children works in partnership with Ministry of Sport and Youth towards the protection, fulfillment and respect for all young people’s right to participate in decisions and mainly Youth empowerment.
