The preparatory meeting of the Syrian-Yemeni Follow-up Committee has held a meeting at the Transport Ministry, with the participation of representatives of a number of ministries, bodies and the Yemeni ambassador in Damascus The meeting discussed the proposed choices to increase trade exchange between Syria and Yemen and the measures to be taken to implement the recommendations and decisions of the Syrian-Yemeni Higher Committee in various economic and trade domains, Syrian News Agency reported.
Minister of Transport Yarub Badr, who is to co-chair the Syrian-Yemeni Follow-up Committee meetings, underscored the importance of adopting a clear reference for trade exchange volumes between the two countries and undertaking a comprehensive review of the standing cooperation aimed at overcoming the difficulties hindering the achievement of the aspired-to goals.
He called for preparing an in-depth study to establish a joint company for developing marine transport between Syria and Yemen
