Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masri met here on Saturday with the Regional Director of the United Nations Fund for Population (UNFP) for the Arab Region Hafez Choucair.
Talks in the meeting dealt with areas of cooperation between Yemen and the Fund and means of boosting them, especially with regard to the population development as well as the development of women in the population and health aspects.
Al-Masri praised the Fund's support to the development in Yemen, confirming the keenness of his ministry to facilitate any obstacles hindering the Fund's work in Yemen.For his part, the UNFP's official valued efforts made by the leadership of the Interior Ministry to facilitate the Fund's work in Yemen.
He pointed that the Fund has distinct relations with Yemen and implements developmental projects in Yemen, affirming that the Fund would work to support the population development in various areas so as to contribute to achieving the development stability in Yemen.
