IPU's 123rd session concluded in Geneva

The 123rd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) ,in which a Yemeni parliamentary delegation participated, was concluded on Thursday in Geneva.
Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed al-Shaddadi, Head of the Yemeni delegation participating in the session, presented a paper on the sustainable development and the role of parliaments in enhancing and developing it to serve the development goals.The Yemen delegation members also positively participated in the meetings of the specialized committees and the meetings of secretaries-generals, which came out with positive results.On another hand, al-Shaddadi discussed with the Secretary-General of the IPU, Anders B. Johnsson, bilateral relations between the Yemeni parliament and the IPU and
means of boosting them.
