The President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek condemned the terrorist attacks which took place in Sana'a on Wednesday, calling upon the international community to react after the terrorist attacks.
We need to support the Yemeni government in its attempt to break the spiral of terror and violence and separatist faction,” said Buzek said in a statement.
He also underlined the need to improve the security situation in Yemen, "but also to alleviate poverty and hunger that feeds terror".Buzek has condemned attacks on European officials and Yemeni workers.
"The attacks of this morning send an alarming signal to which the international community should react", he stressed.
"I cannot but condemn the direct attacks on European officials and workers who are in Yemen trying to lift the prospects of a troubled country. Today, once more, Al-Qaeda showed that it acts against the people it claims to defend" he added.
A French employee of Austrian oil company OMV was killed on Wednesday by a gunman. Four others, including a British diplomat and three Yemenis, were injured in a separated attack on a British diplomatic vehicle in Sana'a
