Minister of Interior Mutahar al-Masri met on Saturday with a Saudi security delegation led by brigadier-general Ahmed al-Zahrani, assistant to the General Director of the General Department for Drugs Control The talks focused on security cooperation aspects between the two countries, specially in the fields of combating drugs and terrorism.The minister, al-Masri, pointed out that Yemen security systems have achieved an excellent success in the field of combating drugs and those elements promoting them, indicating that more that 20 million drug tablets as well as 35 tons of hashish were seized.He praised the level of security cooperation between the two interior ministries of the two countries in controlling drugs and terrorism crimes.The Saudi side praised efforts of the Yemeni security systems in combating the organized crimes of drugs and terrorism, making clear that this cooperation resulted in arresting a number of drug crimes in the two countries.It noted that drug crimes are an international problem requiring collaboration and cooperation of countries.
