Al-Qirbi meets Mexican FM at UN's headquarters

Foreign Minister ,Head of the Ministerial Committee of the Group of 77 and China, Abu Bakr al-Qirbi met last Wednesday at the United Nation's headquarter ,the Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa The two sides reviewed the development of negotiations between the Group of 77 and China and the other countries on the climate changes and the importance of coordinating efforts to reach an agreement in the next ministerial meeting in Cancun, Mexico.Al-Qirbi affirmed Yemen's attention to the issue of climate changes and its effects on the necessities of life for many states, in forefront of which the least developed countries.
He pointed out that Yemen would participate in the next Cancun conference and would exert its efforts, as the head of the group, to reconcile the different views on this important issue.
For her part, the Mexican minister reviewed the efforts of her country in this area, expressing her country's desire to introduce the idea of establishing an international fund to view the issues of climate change and support poor countries to address the effects resulting from the climate change.
