Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi met here on Tuesday with the National Democratic Institute (NDI)'s regional director for Middle East and North Africa, Leslie Campbell Talks in the meeting reviewed relations of joint cooperation between Yemen and the U.S. in various areas, including combating terrorism and piracy.The two sides also discussed issues relating to democratic path and the progress in the comprehensive national dialogue in order to maintain democracy in Yemen and holding the parliamentary elections on the scheduled date on April 27, 2010, in coinciding with the comprehensive reforms in the electoral system and the system of government authorities so as to achieve the supreme national interest.Hadi said that preserving the democratic approach is maintaining a united Yemen, which is able to face all challenges.He expressed his happiness for the existing cooperation with the American side.
