UAE Red Crescent projects target 150 thousand beneficiaries

Director of the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Office in Yemen Khalfan al-Canady said the charitable and humanitarian projects implemented by the UAE Red Crescent Office during the month of Ramadan for this year is targeting 150 thousand beneficiaries.
In a statement to Saba, the UAE Red Crescent official said these projects will reach the poor families in a number of governorates, in addition to the African refugees camp in Lahj, Palestinian refugee camp in Yemen, returnees from exile and people of special needs. Al-Canady said the charitable projects will provide for the poor wheat, flour, rice, sugar and oil, pointing out that they will also support the people who were affected by the flood disaster in Hadramout governorate through housing projects. He highlighted to the pilot projects to establish the city of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed consisting of one thousand housing units for Hadramout flood affected people in 2008 and also establish Emirates camp in Mazraq camp 2 in Harad.
