Parliament discussed on Monday with a high sense
of responsibility the situation in Harf Sufyan district, Amran, as the Houthi
Group continued breaching the ceasefire and attacks against citizens
It held the group accountable for
its criminal acts against the people and
the country.
During the sitting chaired by
Speaker Yahya al Ra'e, the council urged the government to assume its
constitutional responsibility, firmly face criminal acts and lawbreaking,
impose the rule of law and preserve the pubic security and properties.Prime Minister Ali Mujawar attended
the sitting and gave explanations of the situation. Other topics related to the national
economy in the light of the special parliamentary committee were discussed as
well.Cabinet members who also appeared in
Parliament gave explanations of the economic developments in the country
including oil subsidies prices, electrical tariffs and power purchasing and gas
sales.The government affirmed it is
working on reducing the state budget deficit through safe ways and that major
efforts are being made to fight trafficking of oil derivatives as well as
rationalizing them at local markets.
