Meetings, workshop to be convened by NDAW in Yemen

The Network of Democrats in the Arab World (NDAW) is to convene three meetings during July 24-26 in order to introduce local and civil society and media to its role and activities and the possibility of its work in Yemen.
Moreover, the network seeks to hold a workshop entitled "Development of civil society to strengthen democracy", for the civil society organizations of women's rights and mass media during July 27-28, 2010, in which lectures to be delivered by Head of Arabian Peninsula Forum, Dr. Najeeb Ghallab and the trainer Nashwan al-Sumairi.The workshop aims to measure the challenges, opportunities and strategies that affect the conduct of democratic action amid a complex period of transition, focusing on women's civil organizations with media partnership.It also aims to building a database to help the network to provide services that can be provided, in addition to the establishment of a sustainable local network for democrats in Yemen.The NDAW is a non-governmental and non-profit organization of a civil society, registered in the United Kingdom. It was established in January 2006 as a result of the Conference of Morocco, which was attended by 63 democratic leaders from 14 Arab countries. Membership in the network is free and open for volunteerism for all to serve the democratic reform.
