Parliament calls upon all political forces to sense national responsibility

The Parliament's Speaker Yahya al-Rae'i called on Sunday upon all political forces to sense their national and historical responsibility.
Al-Rae'i congratulated the parties on this political, national and historical event and welcomed its results, expressing his hope that President Saleh continues to complete this great national action."We as representatives of the nation join our voices to the voice of the President for that nobody evades of what has been agreed", al-Rae'i added.He urged all the political forces to strengthen confidence and cooperation among them to achieve the decisions of this agreement and to move forward to implement its tasks with coherent ideas, taking in consideration the nature of challenges facing the country and the constitutional and democratic right required to be applied.Al-Rae'i affirmed that the parliament would help every action in the interest of the homeland and citizens in Yemen.Under sponsorship of President Saleh, the GPC and the JMP signed on Saturday a joint minutes to carry out February agreement of 2009.
According to the minutes, the two sides agreed to give a chance for all political parties and civil society organizations to discuss constitutional amendments on the political and electoral system of the nation.The two sides also agreed to meet in order to determine their representatives in a joint committee for preparing the national dialogue.Moreover, the minutes stated that the two sides should comply with decisions of the committee, and meetings of the committee, which would be broadcasted for public.The minutes was signed by representatives of both sides.President Saleh considered the signature as a positive step to resolve the political crisis and open a new phase as the nation is for all not only for the ruling party or opposition.He called on the two sides to stop media campaigns against each other. "We are all partners in the political life and the nation is for all", he added.The JMP's representative Abdul Wahab Mahamoud expressed happiness to sign the minutes under sponsorship of President Saleh, wishing that the coming period would witness further cooperation and trust to achieve big tasks and gathering all Yemenis.
