The constitutional amendment draft is to be on
the table of the parliament on Saturday, a parliamentary source at the General
People Congress (GPC) bloc in the Parliament said on Thursday.
The
source told the weekly 26 September that a committee would be formed to study
the draft and submit a detailed report to the parliament for discussion and
approval.
The GPC is moving forward in the constitutional amendment and reforming the
electoral system according to February deal signed by the political parties
represented in the parliament.
The source called on the Joint Meeting Parties (JMPs) to take part in the
committee, otherwise the GPC would approve it alone and thus holding a
parliamentary election in April 27, 2011.
