General Manager of al-Huswa power station in Aden Mohsen Thabit said on Thursday that a defect in one of the circuits' keys linking the station with al-Mansoura station caused power outages on some parts of the province
Speaking to Saba, Thabit explained that such defect occurs due to high consumption of 580 Ampere that overstepped the natural voltage of the station, estimated at 33 kilovolt, which forced the technicians at the station to cutoff the electricity on large parts of the province areas in order to replace the damaged parts and remove carbon resulted from the defect. He pointed out that the station's parts are currently being tested for high voltage to restore the power supply and connect the keys in the station. In the same connection, on Wednesday, a local official in Dalei province held separatist elements the responsibility of power outages in the province for the fifth day, respectively. The source told the 26sep.net that the sabotage elements deliberately targeted the electric grid, causing the power cuts and damage to the citizens' interests.
