Yemen to attend Dubai conference on AIDS

Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rasa'a headed on Sunday to the United Arab Emirates for the regional conference on AIDS/HIV.The conference will take place on 28-29 June in Dubai
. Upon departure, Rasa'a said Yemen's participation in the meeting comes because it is a member in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.The conference aims to gather decision makers, concerned authorities and civil society organizations, researchers and experts, the private sector and agencies to review available facts from the report on AIDS and clarify wanted measures to fight it starting with drawing up effective policies as well as providing services within preventive programs and care and support for patients with AIDS.The conference will be attended by regional director of the World Health Organization Hussein al-Jazaeri, Director of Regional Support Team for the Middle East and North Africa Hind Khatib, Health Ministers in the Eastern Mediterranean Region and Yemen's Minister for Labor and Social Affairs Amat al-Razaq Humad.
