Planning and Finance Ministers to attend IDB Group Annual session

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Abdul Karim al-Arhabi, and Finance Minister Numan al-Suhaibi, headed on Sunday to Azerbaijan for the annual session of the Islamic Development Bank Group.
The session will discuss several topics on the agenda and approve the plan and final accounts of the Islamic Development Bank IDB and its institutions for the coming period as well as electing the board of directors of the bank's Private Sector Development. On the sidelines of the meeting which will take place in Baku on June 22-24, loan and donation agreements would be signed with the bank and IFAD worth $ 25 million, he said. The loan agreement worth 12-million will be signed with the bank and the donation worth $ 13 million will be signed with IFAD, he added.For his part, al-Suhaibi, on the margins of the meeting, will take part in the tenth annual meeting of the Supreme Council of the Al Aqsa and Al Quds Funds that will focus on several issues related to the role of the funds in meeting developmental and relief requirements for the Palestinian people.It will also discuss the decisions of the last Arab summit on increasing additional support for the funds to lift the suffering of the Palestinian people.
