Foundation stone laid for 48 Hospital's 3rd phase

Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Rashad al-Alimi laid on Thursday a foundation stone for the third phase of the 48 Hospital in the 48 Medical City of the Republican Guard.
The cost of the third phase of the project is USD 8 million, funded by the People's Republic of China, with a capacity of 120 beds as well as the clinical medical facilities.
At the inauguration ceremony, al-Alimi commended the medical and humanitarian services provided by the hospital, including receiving the traffic accidents' injuries, and the role of the Medical City in reducing the burden on other general hospitals.He expressed his appreciation for the support presented by China to the establishment of infrastructure projects in Yemen.For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese embassy to Sana'a Chen Jian said that the project is a fruit of bilateral cooperation between China and Yemen, noting that the initial phases of the projects have been completed through joint efforts.
By laying the foundation stone, the project would enter the implementation phase, so that it would be a new model project embodying the fruits of the Yemeni-Chinese friendly relations, the Chinese diplomat added.
