A workshop is to be kicked off here on Monday on the role of civil society organizations (CSOs) working in the environment area in introducing the phenomenon of climate change and facing its effects.

The workshop, organized by the National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science during May 24-26, aims to introduce the phenomenon of climate change and spread awareness of its social, economic and environmental risks.Participants from the organizations and institutions working in the field of environment would discuss in the workshop ways of dealing with the climate change in the Islamic world.
They would also highlight the CSOs' efforts in environmental work and their role in raising awareness of environment issues.
