Aden Free Zone (AFZ)'s Chairman,
Abdul Jalil al-Shaibi, is to participate in a training course on the economic
zones in Egypt's capital, Cairo, during May 24-28.
The course aims at exchanging
experiences and information on the private and model economic zones in Egypt and the GCC, European and Asian countries,
al-Shaibi told Saba.
Yemen is currently studying the
specifications and laws of the economic zones to be able to apply this system
to attract more local and foreign investments, mobilize, and activate the
economic sector in its various kinds, he pointed out.Al-Shaibi added that the Ministry of
Planning and International Cooperation has organized a number of workshops and
hired international experts to discuss the importance of economic zones and how
to avail and create them in Yemen,
in addition to cooperation with international experts from the World Bank in
the preparation of a draft law on the private economic zones.
