Minister of Social and Labor Affairs Amat Al-Razaq Humad met on Wednesday with a delegation from the World Bank led by the Country Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti David Craig.
The meeting focused on the Yemeni implementation of the financial and administrative reform program as well as evaluating the social security network program through the current developments.It also dealt with the governmental policies for reform programs and social care role as one of the network components.At the meeting, Humad explained to the delegation measures taken by the government and the Social Welfare Fund for implementing the part concerning the protection of the poor from the repercussions of financial and administrative reformsThe meeting, moreover, discussed the outcomes of the social survey implemented by the fund and how to benefit from them with the aim to reconsider the poor support program.The delegation pledged to provide technical and financial assistance for the beneficiaries from social care programs in the country. It also discussed several social welfare programs including those on child care and labor as well as progress on their implementation.
