The bilateral trade between Yemen and China has witnessed a specific boost increasing to $ 2.4 billion over the last two years, Yemen's ambassador to China said.

Abdul Malik al-Mualemi said in a press conference in Beijing that Yemen is one of the biggest fish exporters to China, exporting 6.7 million tonnes of fish and other sea creatures a year.The number of Chinese businessmen, experts and firm workers who visited Yemen last year reached 4502, he said, appreciating the Yemeni-Chinese accelerating ties.Moreover, he praised the Chinese support for Yemen's unity and stability and said that Yemen is looking forward to an active Chinese role within Friends of Yemen Group.At the conference, the envoy renewed Yemen's full support for the unity of China that rejects interference in the country's own affairs.He also reviewed strides Yemen has made in various sectors over the last twenty years, with a focus on democratic steps and sustainable and comprehensive economic development.
