Houthi elements have shot dead two
shepherds in the Ghail district, Jawf, amid continuous violations of the
ceasefire deal.
The Interior Ministry reported that
the two, aged 25-30, were deliberately shot inside their tent without
committing any fault. A hunt was launched for the killers.The incident came within continuous
violence by the Houthi group in the province hampering the peace process and
violating the ceasefire deal that was brought into effect in February ending a
six-year war between the army and the group. In this regard, members of the group
injured a five-year-old child in Manbah district, Saada, in the clashes that
erupted between armed Houthis and one of pro-government elder.
Security sources said that the group
is cleansing tribal elders who supported the army during the operations against
the insurgency.Since the ceasefire was announced on
February 11, the committees overseeing it have reported many violations by the
group saying it is reluctant to implementing the deal.Its members have killed and wounded
more than 30 innocents including civilians and policemen.
