Yemen calls Arabs to ask UNSC to shoulder Palestine responsibility

Yemen has called the Arab countries to request the UNSC to bear their responsibility with regard to the Palestinian issue under the continuous Israeli aggressions and based on the UN Resolution No. 242.
This came in a message by Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi to the Arab Peace Initiative Committee in its emergency meeting held on Saturday at the Arab League General Assembly in Cairo as chaired by Qatar.The meeting is meant to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian arena as well as the US response over its efforts with the Israelis with respect to reviving peace process in the Middle East.Yemen permanent representative to the AL Abdul-Malik Mansour, head of Yemen delegation in the meeting, said that al-Qirbi demanded in his letter, discussed in a closed session, to submit the issue of the Arab-Israeli conflict and that of Palestine to the UNSC, affirming that the Israeli measures and practices are threatening the world security and stability.He noted the importance of presenting the latest developments in the Palestinian territories to the UN, requesting recognition of the state of Palestine with borders of June 1967 and Quds the capital.Mansour also pointed out that Yemen asserts the significance of coordination with the OIC and the Group of 77, in addition to China, to support the Arab move in the UN.
