Course on mines dangers kicked off in Saada

A training course for trainers charged with raising children awareness on dingers of mines and explosive remnants was kicked off on Wednesday in Saada.
The two-day course, which is organized by Save the Children Organization, targets 11 trainers.At the course opening, governor of Saada Abdullah Hajer affirmed the importance of the humanitarian organization's role in raising awareness on mines dangers and its negative effects on the individual life, especially in Saada.He mentioned that Saada governorate contains a large number of mines after the war events during the last years, saying that they need big efforts to be done by the concerned organizations and bodies.The course aims at training 22 participants from Save Children's partners in Saada on means of raising children awareness on the dangers of mines and explosive remnants.Each participant will train 10 youth inside the camps and schools, who will train their counterparts. The program targets, in the coming actions, about 2000 persons of the displaced people in the camps and schools.It is worth mentioning that Save the Children targeted 1900 children in Hajjah province and 1800 others in Amran province.
