Yemen has announced the nomination of Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Karim Rase'a for the post of the Eastern Mediterranean regional director in the World Health Organization (WHO).

The Weekly 26september said that the permanent representative of Yemen in the United Nations' European headquarters in Geneva handed over on Wednesday formally the Yemeni government's nomination to the WHO Director-General Margaret Chan.The election for holding the post is be run during the 57th round of the Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean Region scheduled for coming Octob
