Dean of Palestinian prisoners arrives in Yemen

Dean of the Palestinian and Arab Prisoners Sa'ed Al-A'taba arrived in Sana'a Tuesday to take part in events marking the annual Arab and Palestinian Prisoners' Day.
The events will be organized by the Sana'a-based Palestine Canaan Organization in Dhamar province, south Yemen.Speaking to Saba, Al-A'taba thanked the Yemeni government and people for the hospitality, praising Yemen's strong support for the rights of Palestinian people to free and establish their independent state with its capital Jerusalem.He added that the Arab and the Palestinian Prisoners' Day reflects the strength of the Palestinian fighting against the Israeli occupation.For his part, Palestinian ambassador to Yemen Bassem Al-Agh praised Yemen's efforts to support the Palestinian case.Sa'ed Al A'taba was taken prisoner by Israeli soldiers nearly thirty years ago. He was only 26 years old.He was sentenced to three terms of life imprisonment and was serving his sentence in prison in Ashkelon, and was released during the exchange of prisoners between Israel and Hezbollah in 2008.
